Last updated 3 September 2026. Please read this before you pay. If anything is unclear, email parisnoir@barbells-and-bows.com and ask first.
1. Who you are contracting with
Barbells and Bows LLC, a limited liability company in Scottsdale, Arizona ("we", "us"). Your coach is Paris Wright, a NASM-certified personal trainer. In-person training takes place at 5 Star Fitness, 2012 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
2. What you are buying
A monthly coaching membership. Depending on the one you choose, that is 1:1 training in person in Scottsdale, 1:1 virtual coaching from anywhere, or small group training capped at four people. Every membership includes a set number of coached sessions each week, programming written for you, and support between sessions through the Trainerize app.
A membership buys you coaching and a programme. It does not buy a guaranteed physical result. What you get out of it depends on what you put in.
3. Price, billing and automatic renewal
Your membership renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
You are charged the monthly price shown on the product page when you sign up, then the same amount on the same date each month after that. Payment is taken by card through Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Each payment covers the month of coaching that follows it.
You can prepay three months at a discount if you prefer. Single sessions are available without a membership at the single-session price, booked and paid one at a time. We do not sell multi-session packs.
Your rate is locked for twelve months from the day you join. If our prices go up in that time, yours does not.
After twelve months, if we change your price we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not want the new price, cancel before then and you will not be charged it.
4. How to cancel
You can cancel at any time, for any reason, and you do not have to give one.
Email parisnoir@barbells-and-bows.com, message Paris in the app, or tell her in person. Any of those counts. We will confirm your cancellation in writing within one business day.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date and you will not be charged again. Your membership then stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for, and you keep your sessions and your programme for that time.
We will never make you phone us, sit through a retention conversation, or fill in a form to cancel. Cancelling is meant to be as easy as signing up was.
5. If you change your mind in the first three days
If you cancel within three days of your first payment and have not yet trained a paid session, we will refund that payment in full. Email us and we will process it within 30 days.
After that, we do not refund part of a month you have already paid for. You keep full access until that month ends.
6. Booking, missed sessions and late cancellations
Sessions are booked through the app, from 24 hours up to two weeks ahead.
Cancel or move a session at least 24 hours ahead and we will reschedule it that week wherever the calendar allows.
A session cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, counts as used. Paris holds that time for you and cannot fill it at short notice. This is the only way a one-coach business can work.
If Paris has to cancel a session, you get it back, no question asked.
Sessions do not roll over from one month to the next.
7. The gym’s own membership is separate from us
If you train in person at 5 Star Fitness, the gym requires you to hold its own training membership, currently $40 per month, paid to 5 Star and not to us. Your first visit is free. From your second session onwards that membership applies, and 5 Star asks that you train at least twice a week to keep it.
That is a contract between you and the gym, on the gym’s terms. We cannot cancel, refund or change it, and cancelling with us does not cancel it. You have to contact 5 Star yourself.
8. Health, risk, and what we are not
Paris is a certified personal trainer. She is not a doctor, physical therapist, dietitian or any other licensed medical professional. Nothing we give you is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Talk to your doctor before you start, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or managing any health condition.
Tell us anything that affects how you train, and tell us as soon as it changes. Our intake form asks; please answer it honestly, because the programme is built on your answers.
Strength training carries a risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and accept that risk.
Stop and tell Paris straight away if something hurts in a way that is not ordinary training effort.
Any nutrition guidance is general education about food and habits. It is not a prescribed diet and it is not treatment for any condition.
If you are unwell or injured for a while, tell us. We would far rather pause your membership than take payment for training you cannot do.
9. Your programme and your account
Your programme is written for you and licensed for your own personal use. Please do not share, resell or redistribute it.
You will need a Trainerize account to train with us. It is yours alone, so keep your login private.
10. If we change these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects what you pay or what you receive, we will tell you at least 14 days beforehand, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Arizona. Nothing in them removes a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement.
